OpenKubes Features
A contract-driven framework for sovereign Kubernetes platform distributions.
OpenKubes defines platform capability contracts so teams can assemble, operate and evolve a Kubernetes platform without making every underlying implementation permanent.
Platform capabilities
Infrastructure freedom
Integrate Kubernetes infrastructure across local development environments, virtualized clusters, bare metal and supported cloud providers. Provider-specific implementations remain replaceable under stable interfaces.
Lifecycle management
Build clusters through declared lifecycle operations and reconciliation, with explicit ownership of desired state, observable outcomes and recovery conditions.
Policy and evidence
Treat requested changes as proposals that must pass trusted authorization and verification boundaries. Evidence matters more than a controller's success message.
Developer enablement
Use OpenKubes Local tutorials for hands-on development and cluster documentation for operating building blocks.
Observability
OK Observability defines per-cluster metrics, dashboards, searchable logs, alerting and autonomy as testable platform guarantees. The Observability Capability Contract and gated installation make those claims verifiable rather than relying on deployment status alone.
Developer Workspace
Developer Workspace explores contract-driven, bounded AI-assisted coding on Kubernetes. OpenCode is the first reference runtime, with a second-runtime proof using Codex. This is an active capability implementation, not yet a general self-service workspace offering.

Capabilities are architectural concepts; this page is not a claim that every profile is production-ready.
